This programme is taught over one year full-time (or two years part-time), mainly in small classroom/seminar groups.

You will receive research methods training, offering a practical approach to postgraduate-level critical investigation and writing skills, and individual supervision for your 15,000-word dissertation.

You will receive a strong grounding in the academic study of Islam and Christian-Muslim relations, and an appreciation of the scriptural, philosophical, theological, and ethical debates between Christians and Muslims in different times and places.

You may choose optional coursework in Literary Classics of the Islamic World; Jesus in Christian-Muslim Relations; Gender and Ethics in Islam; or Political Islam.

You will also have the option of courses in Christian theology and history, or courses offered by Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies.
