Research

I’m interested in how cognitive processes, such as learning and memory work. I decided to study spatial navigation, because it is a cognitive process with a behavioural readout that allows us to design experiments to dissect the underlying circuitry, and potentially understand how the brain calculates where we are.

My current research projects include investigating directional firing in grid cells, and studying the deep medial entorhinal cortex. I perform in vivo electrophysiology recordings in behaving mice, and look at the anatomy of the deep medial entorhinal cortex.
