Integrated Identities

The programme will provide a more integrated online experience for users who currently have more than one University account. The programme is investigating options, include providing affected users with a single account that covers all their roles.

This project will:

  • Understand the needs of users;
  • Identify the system and process changes required to meet these needs;
  • Work closely with Core Systems to define key requirements and capabilities;
  • Define and implement a clear, consistent approach to the management of identities across the University;

The programme will gather requirements from individuals, groups and units across the University. These will define system and process changes which will give a consistent approach to identity management whilst making interaction with all University services simpler.

Personalised Email for Students (Options and Implementation) Project

In response to student demand for a more personalised experience at the University, this project aimed to ensure that new students could make use of their email addresses based on student name instead of username (UUN). This initial project has now completed.

Amend Personalised Email for Existing Students Project

This project follows on from the Personalised Email for Students (Options & Implementation) project and is focused on providing existing students with the ability to make use of their email addresses, based on student name instead of username (UUN).

Define Integrated Identities Requirements Project

This project will include an options appraisal and a decision on how to take Integrated Identities forward.

Implement Integrated Identities Project

If a positive decision is reached to continue on from the preceding Define Integrated Identities project then the implementation project will go ahead.
