Fundraising for student clubs and societies
Find out how you can fundraise for your sports club, society or for an area of research that you feel passionately about.
EUSA Volunteering, EUSA Societies and the Sports Union have partnered with the University of Edinburgh Development Trust to help you turn your favourite pastime into a successful fundraising venture. From pub crawls and cake sales to endurance challenges and club nights, there are lots of different ways to raise money for brilliant causes, whilst having fun at the same time.
Fundraise Your Way
You can raise money for any part of the University.
- Contribute to student life by raising money for your school, EUSA society or EUSU sports club.
- Help fellow students by supporting student scholarships.
- Support groundbreaking research into neurological diseases, climate change or animal health and welfare.
- Fund community projects such as the Free Legal Advice Centre.
Every penny raised goes directly to your chosen project, area of research, or EUSA affiliated club or society via the University of Edinburgh Development Trust.
Visit the Fundraise Your Way website for fundraising inspiration, events listings and resources.
Law student Christy Cunningham raised money in aid of the University’s Free Legal Advice Centre. Her fundraising activities included a carol concert, a cake stall and a daring firewalk.
Being involved in raising money for the Free Legal Advice Centre is incredibly important to me, as not having come from affluent background, I know how expensive seeking legal advice can be, and feel that this should never be a barrier; that legal advice should be available to everyone regardless of their income.
