Background

Matthew graduated from the University of Manchester in 2001 with his BDS and completed his Vocational training on the Wirral in North West England.  Matthew then worked in mixed NHS and private dental practice on the Wirral and subsequently Flint in North Wales until 2009 when he moved to Australia where he worked in private practice in Newcastle, Australia for 8 years.  He completed the membership programme in general dental practice of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2016 and attained his MSc in Primary Dental Care with distinction and membership in Primary Dental Care of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2017. 

Matthew has held posts as a clinical educator of final year undergraduate dental students on restorative clinics at the University of Sydney and as a mentor for candidates for membership in general dental practice of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, a position he still holds.  Matthew returned to the UK in early 2017 and currently lives in Worcester where he works in private general dental practice.
