Representatives of Edinburgh Dental Institute, Dr Niall McGuinness, Dr Fiona Irving and Dr Aman Ulhaq paid a visit to Nanjing University Dental School, China. From 28th October to 5th November, at the invitation of the Dental School Dean, Professor Lin Wang. The objective was to prepare orthodontic trainees in Nanjing to sit the Membership In Orthodontics Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Over a five day period, the University team presented a series of lectures and examination exercises to more than 300 attendees who benefited from the EDI staff’s expertise and knowledge. On return from the visit Dr McGuinness reported: My colleagues and I were delighted that the reaction from the students was extremely positive and we would like to build on this special relationship with the Nanjing academic staff and students.
