World Restart a Heart 2019
For a second year, staff and students of BSc Oral Health Sciences participate in international Restart a Heart Day on the 26th of October.
This is an annual event to teach as many people as possible the life saving skill of CPR. Volunteers host free demonstration sessions for the public across the country.
BSc Oral Health Sciences team hosted their event at Surgeon’s Hall Museum and successfully taught 65 members of the public, children and adults, coronary pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) use. The programme were delighted to showcase the brand new resuscitate Annie’s and training AED equipment that will be used for curriculum teaching and examination purposes, including Retsart a Heart.
The staff and students are delighted to have continued the partnership with Surgeon’s Hall Museum and would like to thank staff at the museum and Alex Keir (Principal Dental Nurse) for his leadership with delivering effective CPR training.
Hopefully this great initiative will continue for many years to come.
