From 1st September, we are delighted to announce that Joanne Healy will take over as Programme Director, BSc Oral Health Sciences and Senior Lecturer for Dental Care Professionals, following the retiral of Margaret Ross earlier this year.  Joanne is a familiar face in Edinburgh Dental institute as she started working on the programme in 2009.  Working alongside Margaret and other members of the team, she has witnessed the ever-evolving success of the programme but also the profile Dental Care Professionals.

I am very much looking forward to the various challenges ahead keeping the programme and students abreast of the current developments. There is a fantastic legacy with the programme and the team and I are looking forward to working with the students and our external stakeholders to develop a professional team of Dental Hygiene-Therapists for the future.

The BSc Oral Health Sciences team said Au Revior to Shereen Arabshahi, who leaves her post of Programme Co-ordinator to take up a promoted position as Medical Teaching Manager with the Undergraduate team at the Medical School.

Shereen joined us at Edinburgh Dental institute in 2015 and during her time, she has transformed the management of the Oral Health Sciences programme.  Staff and Students all agree that her contribution has been invaluable and will be missed by all.

I have really enjoyed working alongside all my colleagues in Edinburgh Dental Institute. I have had a wonderful time here over the last three years; I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from hugely inspiring colleagues.
