Student placements

Inspiring the next generation, building capacity.

students

The key to building future capacity, growing human capital, embedding innovation and building cross-sectoral and cross-discipline experience in the foundation of a research career.  Opportunities for student placements in industry continue to be welcomed by prospective industry partners and our research student community.

We are keen to engage with SME and larger corporations to work with us on projects that would benefit from our high quality MSc and PhD students’ engagement.

Furthermore, we have identified an unmet need for scientists who excel in state-of-the-art interrogation of genetic and genomic information, developing and utilising analytical methodologies to provide evidence to improve health and wellbeing.

This cannot be the preserve of universities alone: researchers have to focus on specific areas where they become world experts, but they also need to connect to the broader network of industry and public sector organisations that will enrich and exploit their insights.

We want our students to be part of a vibrant innovation community, built using inter-connection activities, to develop new professional relationships, share skills and experience and promote precision medicine across both industry and public sector.
