New associate researcher: Prof. Erik Camayd-Freixas

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Professor Erik Camayd-Freixas from Florida International University joins us as an Associate Researcher.

Professor Camayd-Freixas (PhD, Harvard) is Professor of Hispanic Studies, Director of Translations Studies at FIU, and has worked with Edinburgh staff in research projects. He is a US juror translator, highly respected internationally as an academic and a social theorist. His service to Latin-American communities has been recognised with important human rights awards from the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center, the Guatemalan Foreign Ministry, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. We welcome Professor Camayd-Freixas to our team and thank him effusively for working with us.
