ORT University Uruguay

A delegation of professors from ORT University in Montevideo, Uruguay, visited the University on 13 and 14 January.

They met with Edinburgh academics as well as officers in the International Office and other University offices. This visit reinforces the existing strong research collaborations between our institutions, in the areas of technology, architecture and urbanism, and has also provided the basis for further collaborations. Edinburgh and ORT are currently developing plans to offer free online courses (MOOCs) in basic computing and mobile apps for school children in Uruguay (Spanish) and Scotland (English).
