New book by J.A.G. Ardila: Textos del Desastre

Castalia Editorial has published J.A.G. Ardila’s edited volume titled Textos del Desastre in the series Clásicos Castalia.

This 640-page volume is comprised of a range of historical essays published from 1890 to 1934 in Spain discussing post-colonial issues in the wake of the independence of Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, and Guam. The 110-page introduction includes a section on the Cuban wars of independence and the role played by Spain and the United Stated in the recent history of Mexico, Cuba, and Puerto Rico.
