Book Launch: Berenguer's Bobby Sands desfallece en el muro with Bárbara Fernández

Around 60 people gathered for the launch of Bobby Sands desfallece en el muro by Carmen Berenguer in its third cartonera edition by La Joyita Cartonera at Café Literario Parque Bustamante in Santiago de Chile.

The event was led by Elizabeth Cárdenas, head of the publisher; Bárbara Fernández, PhD candidate in Hispanic Studies at The university of Edinburgh who presented and wrote the prologue to this edition; and the author herself, who spoke about the book and read the whole poem in public for the very first time. Carmen thanked the publisher´s excellent art work, and Bárbara´s analysis and study of the text as it "provided in depth detail that made me realise so many aspects I was not aware of at the time of writing the book". The launch was followed by a wine reception courtesy of The Centre for Contemporary Latin American Studies at the University of Edinburgh. Bárbara is bringing a copy of Bobby Sands desfallece en el muro that she will donate to the university library.
