This style guide is a reference tool for University staff, external suppliers, and freelance copyeditors.

It outlines the English standard for all online and printed University publications, including brochures, prospectuses, reports, and the media.*

*All University publications do not currently adhere strictly to these new guidelines. It is our intention to update our publications as and when they are up for renewal in the publishing timetable.

Before accessing either framework you should determine whether an internal service provider in the University can do the work required:

Alternate document formats

The University has an ethical and legal responsibility under the Disability Discrimination Act to provide all its documents in alternative formats upon request.

Information Services have produced a guide that details the standard text to appear on documents and how to provide alternate formats if requested.
