Supporting documents

To allow the programme team to review your suitability for the programme, you will need to provide the following documents, with translations where applicable:

  1. Two reference letters. If you provide your referee email addresses on the form the EUCLID system will automatically contact them. If you already have copies of reference letters, you can upload them directly into your application. Reference letters must be no more than 1 year old at the programme start date and must be on headed paper, dated and signed.
  2. Confirmation of your degree plus a transcript of your marks or an interim transcript in case you still have to complete your degree.
  3. A personal statement, in which you describe in max 500 words why you would like to join the programme and why you are a suitable candidate.
  4. For non-native English speakers, a certificate which meets the programme entry requirements for English or information on when you expect to be able to provide this.

Please note that a research proposal is not required for your application for the programme - please fill in 'Research projects will be chosen once the programme is underway' and ignore any automatically generated emails requesting this information. The online application process also asks for details on your research topic. Please provide details about your current research interests. This will not limit your choice of research projects once you are on the programme.

Your personal statement is an important part of your application. It will help us to decide whether you are good match for our programme and, just as importantly, whether our programme is right for you. Information about writing a personal statement can be found on the University web page below.
