Description	How should Scotland respond to the challenge of lung cancer screening? The LUNGSCOT mixed-methods feasibility study The LUNGSCOT study aims to explore ways of identifying those at high risk of lung cancer and evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of a lung screening intervention involving low dose CT (LDCT), with a focus on issues of accessibility related to deprivation and rurality. Smokers aged 50-74 will be identified through their primary care records and invited to a free lung health check. Their lung cancer risk will be assessed over the telephone using validated risk calculators. Those at high risk will be invited to Edinburgh Imaging for a LDCT and followed up as appropriate.
