The PET is Wonderful meeting took place virtually for the first time & was a huge success.
The PET is Wonderful virtual meeting took place on the 27th October 2020 – this was the first venture for the PiW team into virtual conferences & was in collaboration with Speakeasy.
The meeting was incredibly successful, with the keynote speaker Professor Richard Carson presenting from Yale University USA. Others contributed to the conference from Europe & further afield.
There were over 200 registrations & 160+ attendees, & a number of international sponsors.
The PiW meeting awarded some fantastic prizes:

We caught up with Dr Adriana Tavares, Research fellow in PET imaging & PiW team leader, & Anne Grant, co-organizer, to ask how they found the PiW meeting 2020:
I’m absolutely delighted to see so many PET scientists from around the globe joining & participating at our conference this year. I’m extremely grateful to all members of the conference scientific & organizing committee, presenters, chairs, sponsors & delegates for making this conference such a success despite the COVID-19 hurdles. We had, once again, a superb keynote speaker – many thanks Rich for coming to Edinburgh “virtually” & delivering an outstanding lecture! PET is Wonderful!
This was a tremendous meeting, the very first virtual meeting that the PiW Team have organized & an outstanding success for delegates & sponsors.
The PiW team received great feedback from sponsors & delegates & are looking forward to PET is Wonderful 2021 already!
