November 2017

Launch of Edinburgh network for researchers with interest in small vessel diseases - 3 Nov 2017

Small Vessel Disease (SVD) causes a quarter of strokes and up to 45% of dementias. It is also a major risk factor for future stroke, dementia and depression.

This event will launch a network for researchers in Edinburgh with an interest in SVD and related disorders. We aim to build on communication, establish new collaborations, foster career development and cement Edinburgh’s position at the forefront of this field.

7th SINAPSE-SANON Meeting, Edinburgh

This year's SANON-SINAPSE meeting will be held in Edinburgh on 28 Sept 2017.

The 2017 meeting will aim to build on the progress made in previous sessions and develop a Scottish ‘Network of Excellence’ for imaging research in neuro-oncology. The meeting will be of most value to researchers involved in imaging in neuro-oncology.

2017 UK PET Chemistry Meeting, Hull

The UK City of Culture 2017, Hull, will host the 1-day event on 1st September, allowing the UK PET Chemists to meet and discuss recent results and developments in the PET radiochemistry field.

8th SINAPSE Annual Scientific Meeting - Jun 17, 2016 from 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM

The 2016 SINAPSE Annual Scientific Meeting will be hosted by the University of Stirling.

Join us to keep abreast of developments in clinical and experimental imaging, and learn about research based around MRI, CT, PET, SPECT, EEG, MEG, ultrasound, and human optical imaging.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Jon Simons from the University of Cambridge as our keynote speaker, in addition to stimulating presentations from SINAPSE members in short talks and poster sessions.

We are pleased to announce the 2016 Edinburgh Preclinical Imaging Symposium and launch of our new website.

Statistical Parametric Mapping - SPM Workshop - 27 April 2015 5-day course (27.04.15 - 1.05.2015)

The course offers comprehensive coverage of all MRI-related aspects of SPM.

Day 1 is for absolute beginners who have no experience at all of SPM/MatLab; Days 2 and 3 are aimed at beginners with little or no SPM experience, and we will cover all the basic analysis steps from spatial preprocessing to statistical analysis with the General Linear Model and data visualization and presentation. Days 4 and 5 are aimed at a more advanced audience, with topics ranging from new Bayesian analysis methods and voxel-based morphometry to multivariate pattern classification and effective connectivity analysis. All parts of the course can be booked separately or as a whole.

The course will take place at the University of Edinburgh at the George Square Campus.
