Lecture. Eye spy: advances in neuroimaging the eye.

 

Part of the EICC's  series of free public lectures, InnovationBiotechnology took place on 12 April 2016 at EICC with Edinburgh-based speakers presenting their pioneering work in the area of Biotechnology.

Dr Asier Unciti-Broceta of the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre discusses innovative therapeutic approaches to cancer which target recently recognised hallmarks of cancer using novel chemistry, zebrafish and patient cancer cells.

Speaking after Dr Unciti-Broceta was Dr Tom MacGillivray, Senior Research Fellow and Image Analysis Core Laboratory Manager in Neuroimaging Sciences, who highlights advances in technology in the past decade which have opened up the unexplored landscape of the retinal nervous system and brain. Their goal is to unlock the potential of the retina to reveal signs of disease.
