Neuro-oncology research aims to understand the causes of brain cancer and work towards new treatments.

The brain cancer group undertakes basic science and clinical research programmes in addition to being a major contributor to UK and European clinical trials. Laboratory research focuses on proteomic, mitochondrial and stem cell studies. The multidisciplinary Edinburgh Centre for Neuro-Oncology (ECNO) coordinates patient care and undertakes a range of clinical studies including work on mood and cognition as well as imaging studies.

CAMARADES

The CAMARADES investigators (led by Professor Malcolm Macleod) undertake systematic review and meta-analysis of interventions tested in animal models of glioma.
