Anglican, Episcopalian

Reverend Nick Wills and Tricia Anderson.

Reverend Nick Wills

Nick has served in ordained ministry for over 20 years, having previously worked as a Youth and Children's worker for the church he attended at University. After a long stint in Kettering, where he set up new forms of church congregation and worship, founded an Arts Centre in his church, and was part of the team running training for interns exploring their vocation, he moved to Edinburgh to become Rector of St Peter's, Lutton Place in 2020.

He is married to Becky and they have two sons, one of whom is a recent graduate and the other a student at Warwick University.

Nick is interested in how church and faith interact with popular culture, and, in particular, engaging with the Stand Up Comedy community.

My background is fairly mixed: nursing, midwifery and health visiting including setting up a community health project with refugees in Thailand. For a few years I was involved in disaster and response projects in a variety of countries overseas. Work then moved into community projects in the UK, including art and health projects on an estate and a health project led and designed by young people in Peckham, London.. My last role before retirement, was in a large male prison in London, identifying men who wanted to be supported by a volunteer mentor. I have also done occasional respite fostering as well as providing mentoring for young people.

I would describe myself as a Christian contemplative, and am a member of a Scottish Episcopal Church as well as a meditation group and have trained as a spiritual director.

My interests include environmental issues, gardening in two community projects, walking with friends, cycling, playing the piano and reading.
