Iyengar Yoga

The lineage of Iyengar Yoga started with BKS Iyengar who brought yoga to the west in the 70s and his book “Light on Yoga” has been the source book for generations of yoga students all over the world.  We cover all types of postures – standing, sitting, twisting, backbends, forward bends and inversions.  Some poses are energizing and warm the body and enliven the mind while others are calming and cool the body and quieten the mind.  The fact that you have to give all of your attention to the precise details of each pose requires effort and concentration which can relieve stress and anxiety.  After your yoga class you feel lighter, more fluid, more positive and have an amazing sense of well-being.  Come and try it!
