All University staff and students are welcome to attend these free lunchtime mindfulness sessions, which are open to beginners as well as those with some previous experience of mindfulness meditation.
Sessions are a chance to step back and recharge over the lunch break. They consist of a guided mindfulness practice, and time afterwards for reflection and discussion.
All sessions begin at 1.10pm, and end at 1.50pm to enable travel to 2pm appointments.
We offer these at various locations across the University. Please note that Semester 1 drop-in sessions run from 12th September to 19th December (inclusive).
Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Easter Bush Campus, Tuesdays. 1.10-1.50pm. (Room 1.46, in the Library)
Bristo Square Chaplaincy, Central Campus, Thursdays. 1:10-1:50pm. (Room 1 upstairs)
Chancellor’s Building, Royal Infirmary, Little France, Fridays. 1:10-1:50pm. (Seminar Room 5) (NHS Lothian staff welcome)
Drop-ins are led by Dr Kitty Wheater, Mindfulness Chaplain.
