Today's poem has been written by Associate Chaplain, Ali Newell.
Moment of Grace
4am
hot, feverish
unable to sleep.
On opening the window
birdsong fills the kitchen.
In the gardens below
trees dance to their own tune
swaying and waving in the wind.
Fresh air
cools the face.
Breath and body inhale the dawn.
Anxiety releases its grip
and floats off into the beauty.
There is a felt sense of grace.
