‘Covid-19 in Pregnancy’ Research Insights event
The CRH’s Dr Sarah Stock (Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Maternal and Fetal Health) and Dr Rachael Wood (Consultant in Public Health Medicine for Public Health Scotland) formed the expert panel in the popular ‘Covid-19 in Pregnancy’ Research Insights event, which took place on 10.03.21.
It included two excellent presentations and a lively Q&A.
Dr Sarah Stock and Dr Rachael Wood have spent their entire careers caring for women and babies and trying to find ways to make pregnancy and birth as safe as it can be. They are the Co-Leads on the Covid-19 in Pregnancy Study in Scotland study (COPS) which is a new prospective cohort study using linked data.
The team will describe the incidence of COVID-19 in pregnancy in Scotland and determine how COVID-19 infection affects pregnant women and their babies. Read more about it.
Watch the event in full and hear how they’ve approached the data and what they have learned so far.
Research Insights is free, online and open to all. It's a chance for you to explore research topics with scientists and clinicians who work in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and to ask them questions about their work.
