EPiC clinical trial
EPiC is a single-arm open label exploratory clinical trial to evaluate Dichloroacetate (DCA) as a possible treatment for endometriosis-associated pain.

WHY?: To test the hypothesis that we have developed effective methods to study DCA as a potential oral treatment to alleviate pain in women with endometriosis.
WHO?: Pre-menopausal women aged 18 or over diagnosed with superficial peritoneal endometriosis (Stage I or II) at laparoscopy (>2 weeks but <36 months ago) who are using/willing to use effective contraception if necessary.
Currently this study only recruits women from Edinburgh area within NHS Lothian.
WHERE?: NHS Lothian
RECRUITMENT TARGET: 30 women.
