Engineering Careers Day: Discover what's out there (2021 date TBC)

Please note

The information below relates to our November 2020 event, which was held online. We will be providing similar opportunities for you to connect with employers in academic year 2021-22 but the format for these events is not yet confirmed.

Why should I attend?

  • This is your chance to discover what’s out there.  Hear from organisations offering internships, placements and graduate schemes in a variety of engineering sectors
  • Speak to their representatives and see what it is like to work with them, get tips on your applications, and ask questions not covered by their websites
  • It doesn’t matter what stage you are at in planning your career- this event is open to all students from all years considering a role in the engineering sector
  • The event is aimed primarily at Engineering students, but some employers will have opportunities for other STEM disciplines too
  • This event is not just about getting a job; great opportunity to have useful fact – finding conversations with professionals to help make informed decisions; what role, type, size of company may be right for you
  • Get information and advice from the Careers Service on working in the engineering sector

It was very informative, gave me lots of information about companies and had the opportunity to meet graduates and employers
