Education

The Bayes Centre is overseeing data science education and training through the newly established Data Science Education Centre of Excellence. The Centre acts as a hub for data education at the University, identifying and addressing possible gaps in the data education of the student body. This way, all students will emerge from their degree studies equipped to deal with a world that is increasingly reliant on data.

Anyone with quantitative skills will be able to contribute to digital tech. Those with a social science background, particularly Philosophy or Sociology, are well placed to contribute to the debate around artificial intelligence and data ethics. This area is of significance in almost every scientific area that the Centre covers. Motivation and a sense of entrepreneurship will help anyone from any sector to get a stake in this business.
