An overview of the Employ.ed on Campus Internship Programme

EdinburghAward Employ.ed on Campus recipients 2013

The Careers Service, in collaboration with a range of University of Edinburgh departments, offers a structured internship programme - Employ.ed on Campus - for 2nd, 3rd and penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh during the summer.

As well as great work experience, the Careers Service provides a programme of support, bringing participants together for an induction day, interim and end of placement event. We also offer a framework to support each intern’s employability development goals and self-reflection through the participation in an Edinburgh Award.

I hugely enjoyed my work placement, I've grown a lot, overcome challenges and feel more confident in myself as a result. It has truly been an invaluable experience for me.

There is no doubt I have taken a lot from the whole experience, not least my development goals that I was asked to work on at the beginning of the internship. The biggest aspect for me though is the greater sense of career direction I now have.
