Marking and Assessment Boycott: Information on the Graduating Year 2023:
You may be aware of national industrial action which is impacting the availability of results for many students across the UK due to graduate this summer. We are doing all we can to minimise the disruption and maintain our academic standards. This means some students may not have all their marks at the usual point in the academic cycle, and therefore the University will be unable to confirm their degree until those marks are available. The majority of our students will graduate as planned, but we know it is frustrating and concerning for students who are effected. Students can access a document which displays the marks achieved for their completed courses, and those courses where marks have been delayed as a result of the Marking and Assessment Boycott. This will help both them and you understand their specific situation.
The Careers Service continues to support students through their career planning journey. We hope you will be understanding of their situation and provide as much flexibility as possible while this situation continues. If you have any questions or we can support you to recruit our talented students, please get in touch with us at employers@ed.ac.uk
