Guide to careers events
Find out what types of event we offer, and why you should come to them.
You're not short of support with your career development. Throughout the year the Careers Service puts on a range of events and workshops to help you find out what's out there, make decisions, develop your skills and apply.
Our flagship Careers Fair takes place in October each year - with 100+ employers over two days offering graduate jobs and internships. But don't miss our specialist fairs too - on sectors such as Engineering, Law, IT and the Voluntary Sector.
Organisations of many kinds want to speak to Edinburgh students and graduates - and many have roles for students from any discipline. Search under Employer Presentations to see who is coming to Edinburgh, or running an online session, to talk about their opportunities. You'll also find that organisations get involved with other events and workshops too, so if there is someone you particularly want to meet just put the name into the search box.
Give yourself a clearer understanding of your own career context. What might your next steps be? These sessions cover a range of circumstances and will be relevant to different groups. Check out what applies to you. Example: Careers Conversation: Interested in studying for a PhD?
