Image Dr Ruth Morgan Dr Ruth Morgan Clinician in Equine Practice Wellcome Trust Clinical Career Development Fellow Research I am interested in the metabolism of stress hormones by different species (horses, humans and mice) and the impact of metabolism on health and disease. I investigate the role of glucocorticoid metabolites in the excessive activation of glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid receptors in obesity associated morbidities such as hypertension. I am interested in comparative endocrinology and what we can learn about glucocorticoids and disease from different species.
