Dr Marc is a British Heart Foundation Senior Lecturer and Consultant Cardiologist at the University of Edinburgh. His main research interests are in the application of multi-modality  imaging techniques (echocardiography, CT, MRI, PET) to the study of cardiovascular disease, in particular to aortic stenosis, cardiomyopathy and coronary atherosclerosis. In particular he aims to translate these powerful novel imaging techniques in to improvements in patient assessment and clinical outcomes. Dr Dweck is the Chief Investigator for two ongoing randomised controlled trials in aortic stenosis, SALTIRE 2 and EVOVLED, and a lead investigator for the PREFFIR trial investigating whether advanced hybrid imaging can improve the prediction of myocardial infarction.
