Cancer Research UK funding in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh has one of the highest spend on cancer research of all UK cities. It is home to more than ten Cancer Research UK New Investigators, Career Development Fellowships, Career Establishment Awards, Senior Cancer Research Fellowships and similar cancer research focused Fellowships from other funders. It has also been awarded the CRUK Brain Cancer Centre of Excellence and CRUK Centre Accelerator: Glioma Cellular Genetics structural grants (both jointly with UCL) to advance its brain tumour research and pave the way towards more effective brain cancer therapies. In 2022, Edinburgh & Glasgow were jointly awarded £12 million to form CRUK Scotland Centre - part of the Cancer Research UK Centres network of excellence.
