Edinburgh Cancer Research

Get involved

Revealing our research.

What is public involvement?

Our scientists regularly engage with the local community, delivering lab tours, meeting volunteers and inspiring fundraisers at both external and on site events. We feel a strong responsibility to make our research accessible to our local community and to broaden the understanding of the work carried out within the CRUK Edinburgh Centre.

We love getting the next generation of scientists excited about our work. Our scientists visit local schools, host work experience students and take hands on activities to Science Festivals such as the Edinburgh International Science Festival and the Dunbar Scifest. More information is available in the Schools section.

Our scientists welcome the opportunity to discuss their work with visitors of all ages. If you are interested in arranging a visit or tour check out our upcoming Lab Tours & Events, or get in touch with Sarah Thomas our Research Engagement manager.
