Seed Award in Science: June 2017
Congratulations to Dr Jonine Figueroa – a CRUK Edinburgh Centre affiliated scientist, who has recently been awarded a “
” (research grant from Wellcome Trust), to carry out a project entitled “Temporal trends in incidence and mortality of molecular subtypes of breast cancer to inform public health, policy and prevention”. The project will utilize electronic medical record datasets combined with knowledge of biomarkers defining molecular subtypes of breast cancer to identify women that might benefit most from prevention, screening or treatment interventions.
