Translational science
Translating cancer research for patient benefit.
Translational science benefits from close partnership between the University of Edinburgh and the NHS Lothian patient population. The Centre translates cutting edge science arising from scientific and technological expertise into the clinic via the Edinburgh Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC) and its Host and Tumour Profiling Unit (HTPU), which collects and analyses tissue samples for our cancer research. This integration will bring evidence-led new therapies to patients.
