Consultant Neurosurgeon

Imran Liaquat is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Lead Clinician for Surgical Neuro-Oncology at the Edinburgh Centre for Neuro-Oncology at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

His clinical research interests include evaluating the benefits of Redo Craniotomy for Recurrent Glioblastomas and investigating the effect surgery may have on Neuropsychological or cognitive deficits in patients with Low Grade Glioma. 

He supports the molecular research in Brain tumours at the University of Edinburgh by selecting, recruiting consenting and obtaining tissue from patients with low and high grade gliomas.
