Sustainability in teaching and learning

One of the most impactful ways the University can make the world a better place is by equipping students with the knowledge and confidence they need to influence and transform systems to serve people and the planet.

We are working to meaningfully embed climate and sustainability across the curriculum, offering all students the opportunity to engage with climate and environmental topics.

We also provide excellent training and open resources to staff, students and people external to the University, from school children to businesses.

Our progress

The Curriculum Transformation Programme is progressing to embed sustainability deeper into the curriculum.

Over 300 students participated in the Students as Change Agents programme in 2022 addressing challenge questions such as: "How can we tackle overconsumption in fashion?" and how could a non-profit "go further in supporting Cambodian youth in contributing to the sustainable development of their society?"

Over 7,000 people participated in the short online course: Learning for a Sustainable Future.
