Resources and events for teachers

Schools outreach has been a part of the work of EBS since its inception, with events and resources for teachers speaking to the third aspect of our mission: “Promote improved public understanding of Buddhism.” As scholars, we believe we have a responsibility to support teachers in delivering inspiring and accurate content about Buddhism in schools.

Resources Blog

Paul Fuller

Our Teaching Buddhism blog provides a growing selection of resources for school teachers and other educators working to communicate Buddhism in new and interesting ways. The resources are created and/or curated by members of EBS and are free to use. Events are also advertised on the blog, and recordings of our teacher webinars are uploaded to the site.

We run events for school teachers to support deeper engagement with Buddhist Studies, and to guide you in using new and different resources. We are also planning some events for pupils. Events are advertised on the Events page and on our blog.

Schools outreach officer

Thanks to additional funding from the Khyentse Foundation, we are excited to announce appointment of our first ever schools outreach officer for the EBS network: Dr Paul Fuller will be coordinating our work in this area, including events for teachers and pupils, and additional resources. He is also available for school visits and keen to come and talk to you and your pupils, either in person or online. You can contact him at paul.fuller@ed.ac.uk
