There are a number of opportunities for students to gain scholarships and funding for their studies.

Fee status
We charge different rates depending on your fee status, for example 'home' or 'overseas'.
Your tuition fee status is determined by:
- your nationality

the country where you normally live - where you are 'ordinarily resident'

Scholarships and funding opportunities
International Masters Scholarships
The Deanery of Biomedical Sciences will offer a number of Masters scholarships to self-funding, international (non-EU) students who are currently resident in one of the countries on the DAC list of ODA recipients. Additional Programme Costs (to the value of £3,000) will be waived for successful applicants.
The deadline for applications is 30 June 2023 and you will be notified if you are successful or unsuccessful by 30 July 2023.

Edinburgh Global Latin-American Masters Scholarships
Edinburgh Global Latin American Masters Scholarships are available to students from select countries within Central and South America.
Deadline: The closing date for applications is usually 1st April in the year of entry.

Scotland's Saltire Scholarships
Scholarships are available to citizens of Canada, China, India and the USA.
Deadline: The closing date for applications is usually 30th May in the year of entry.

Chevening Scholarships
Chevening Scholarships are for talented people who have been identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields; including politics, business, the media, civil society, religion, and academia. Countries usually accept applications from a wide range of subject areas with particular welcome to subject areas that change yearly, so it is worth checking out your country's information for this year.
Deadline: Deadlines vary per country.

The University offers a 10% discount in PG tuition fees to UoE graduates and non-graduating visiting students.
