Semester 2 – Research Project(s)

At the end of semester 1 you'll arrange your first 12-week project, to run from January – April.

Alternatively, you may agree with your supervisors to take a 24-week (six month) project instead.

During this semester you'll write a News and Views article of 1000 words, due end of February. You'll also develop a Research Proposal of 2500 words, due mid-April.

In early May you'll start a second project, or continue with your current project.

  • You'll present a poster on your first project for Poster Presentation Day – early May
  • Dissertation – due early August
  • You will present your most salient findings in an oral presentation for your Oral Presentation and Defence of Project – late August

You'll also have the opportunity to attend a conference. Usually these are FENS or BNA meetings held in alternating years.
