The programme includes a selection of short transferable skills and research skills courses.

The aim of the MSc by Research in Biomedical Sciences Programme is to prepare recent graduates with a strong degree in the sciences (biological, chemical or physical) for a PhD in the biomedical sciences.

You will study a range of courses, including the following compulsory courses:

  • Writing Up Science
  • Project Planning
  • Ethics in Scientific Research

The Institute of Academic Development (IAD) provides a number of workshops and resources for postgraduate taught students. These will help you gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for studying at postgraduate level.
