Biomedical Sciences Academic Families Nominated for EUSA Impact Award
Mar 16: Biomedical Sciences Academic Families has been nominated for the 2016 EUSA Impact Awards for Best Peer Support Group.
Nomination
We’re being recognised for our work with Academic Families, a programme where new students are welcomed, guided and encouraged by more experienced students.
Celebrating outstanding projects
The EUSA Impact Awards celebrate outstanding projects and people within Student Representation, EUSA Global and Peer Learning and Support.
Our Academic Family
Academic Families provide welcoming structure for new students, as well as supporting them to explore the full range of experiences available at the University.
I felt supported by my academic family. We were encouraged to try new things outside the academic level as well related to various courses. I learned to be committed to the activity, to be humble and ask for help when needed.
Awards Ceremony
Winners of the EUSA Impact Awards will be honoured at an awards ceremony in Teviot Row House on Wednesday 23rd March 2016.
