Teaching Awards 2013

The School of Biomedical Sciences has been nominated for a range of Teaching Awards in 2012/13.

Teaching

Nominations for members of staff from across the School include the College Teaching Award, Best Feedback, Best Personal Tutor and Best Research or Dissertation Supervisor. We have also received nominations for Best Course or Best Subject Area for a number of Undergraduate courses and degree programmes, and for both on-campus and online taught Postgraduate programmes.

Academics from Biomedical Sciences have won the award for Best Teaching in Medicine in 2011 and 2012.

Student-led awards

The Teaching Awards are run by the Students' Association to recognise and reward good teaching practice at the University and have been running since 2009. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 3rd April 2013.

Nominations close on 1st March 2013. Students can nominate staff from across the University for a number of different awards including: teaching with technology, developing student employability, teaching in the international classroom and postgraduates who tutor. Schools, subject areas and individual courses can also be nominated.

Rewarding good feedback

To promote good feedback across the University, EUSA will be giving a Best Feedback award to a member of every School.
