Prof Jamie Davies awarded the inaugural Wolpert Medal 2021

Congratulations to Professor Jamie Davies (Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences) who was awarded the inaugural Wolpert Medal from the British Society for Developmental Biology (BSDB)

The BSDB launched a new annual medal in memory of one of the greats of Developmental Biology, Lewis Wolpert, which will be presented to an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to the teaching and communication of Developmental Biology.

From rave reviews about his inspirational lectures to authorship of several very popular books in and around our field, the committee were unanimous that Professor Davies exemplifies all that they would like to reward with this new medal.
