Opportunities to visit
Information about the different ways to visit us
We run several visit days for potential undergraduate students.
Pre-application visit days (Open Days)
Should you wish to come to the university and speak to staff and students before you apply, you can do so by attending one of our pre-application Open Days.
The University holds 3 pre-application Open Days a year, throughout June and September.
For more information about the University of Edinburgh's Open Days please see:
Post-application visit days
Once you have applied and received an offer you can attend one of our post-application visit days.
Student-led guided tours
The University offers student-led guided tours most Friday afternoons, which are for students and their families who are unable to attend an Open Day.
If you would just like to look around the University, you are welcome to pick up a self-guided tour leaflet from Student Recruitment & Admissions.
Self-guided accommodation tours, which take you round Pollock Halls, the University's main undergraduate Halls of Residence, are also available for visitors.
Other visiting opportunities
If you are unable to attend any of the above visits, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate an individual visit for you.
