IBioIC celebrates 2020 AGM with bumper attendance
On February 5th and 6th, Scotland’s Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre celebrated it’s 6th Annual general Conference in Glasgow with over 500 delegates.
Members of SynthSys and the UK Centre for Mammalian Synthetic Biology were present in force, staffing an exhibit stand (with Edinburgh Innovations), chairing an Engineering Biology session, and delivering presentations and posters. Edinburgh’s Genome Foundry Manager found himself the focus of a vox pop on what he was hoping to get from the meeting. View video
Over the two-day event, there were some enlightening plenary sessions, and new session tracks including Fashion and the Circular Economy. There was a diverse Fringe programme including topics such as design of Experiments and AquaBiotech. The conference dinner was held at the beautiful Fruit Market and involved innovative ice breakers involving Lego. Inspired!
