Taught element
A variety of teaching methods are used including lectures, tutorials, and computer-based assignments.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in research seminars and discussion groups.
Research project
To be awarded the MSc, you must also undertake project work.
This is a chance to make a genuine contribution to the progress of original research. Projects can be entirely experimentally or computationally based, but most students choose projects that combine both aspects.
