Tell us about your time at the School of Biological Sciences

I chose the University of Edinburgh as it was the only university in the UK (apart from the UCL in London) that offered an MSc in Synthetic Biology while also giving the opportunity to take part in iGEM, the largest synthetic biology competition in the world. Participating in iGEM has been the best experience in my university career.

Tell us about your Experiences since leaving the University

Thanks to the teaching at University of Edinburgh, I am now undertaking a PhD in Genomics at the University of St Andrews while working as a Bioinformatics solution architect in a start-up in London. The skills learned, especially through the iGEM competition, were fundamental to achieve these positions.
